Duos & Trios

For smaller parties with limited space on a more conservative budget, we offer Jazz and Pop/Rock Duos and Trios!  These are ideal for small corporate gatherings, cocktail parties, pool parties, house parties, retirement parties, dinner parties, any special occasion with 100 attendees or less.  This size ensemble offers from background music to more of a party/dancing atmosphere with a smaller P.A. system, smaller setup space and no soundman required.  Again, YOU choose the combination you prefer to get just the right sound for your occasion.  This page includes videos and song samples as well as bio's of some of the musicians I typically use for these ensembles.

Cruise Control Rock Trio

Cruise Control Jazz Trio

Ken Uhlmann

Ken has been holding a guitar since he was seven, actually owns nine of them... and eventually will learn how to play one. He has had several songs published with a Grammy winning publisher, but of course has made no money, and has been known to show up for Open Mic nights in the Caribbean often enough that they wont buy his drinks anymore. He owned a recording studio for 10 years and wrote and produced music with some of the areas best musicians and songwriters.... figuring it was always good to shamelessly pander to musicians that were actually talented. Some time ago after meeting Erin and pleading with her to be his friend.... the CCX3 was formed.

Now travelling globally.. the Cruise Control Trio rocks plays clubs from here to the Caribbean, making more noise than you could ever imagine would come from a three piece band! Thanks to Erin ... my BFF, the most talented and awesome woman I've ever met... .. and Dimitri, who never ceases to amaze me with how he makes a Djhembe sound like a whole drum kit... Most importantly Ken would like to thank his parents, Al and Kay... for raising him to be confident....respectful and aware of the smiles around him.... they gave me the sense of humor I have today... and I will forever be grateful to them.... just for being my parents.

Dimitri Saliaris

Drums/Percussion, Djembe Czar, Overall Good Guy

Dimitri began his love of drumming when his parents purchased him his first drum set at the age of 4. He promptly broke all the heads while rocking out to a 45 of The Dukes of Hazard Theme...a sign of things to come. A native of central PA, Dimitri began drums in school at 10 and began focusing heavily on drums/percussion from the age of 12. The rest is history.

Earning a B.A. in Music Performance from Indiana University of PA, he focused mostly on orchestral percussion performance, performing with the Hershey Symphony, Harrisburg Chamber Singers, Philadelphia Brass, Harrisburg Symphony, Capitol Dinner Theatre and various other gigs around the mid-state. He has an active private studio of students and teaches percussion at Cedar Cliff High School, in addition to an active schedule of arranging for and teaching competitive marching band and drum corps.

Shortly after being hired by Ken for his day job, he introduced Dimitri to Erin and has been the "Trio" in Cruise Control Trio since early 2008, rocking out on the djembe! Dimitri still holds out hope for the Trio to feature an all Guns 'N Roses set!

When not playing rockstar, Dimitri can be seen with his lovely wife Christy and 3 awesome kids, Anton, Gabe and Cally!

Beth Trez

Keyboards/Vocals

Beth can't remember a time that music was not part of her life. She began playing piano at the age of four, graduated from Shenandoah Univeristy with bachelor degrees in jazz studies and commercial music, achieved a masters degree in music education from New York University, and is now finishing up her doctoral studies in music education at Shenandoah University.

Beth is the owner and advanced piano/jazz instructor at TrezMusic in Mechanicsburg, PA. She has also worked at Electric Lady Studios in New York City and taught in the public schools in both Astoria, Queens and Elizabethtown, PA.

Beth's performance career has taken her on a European tour with the Shenandoah University Jazz Ensemble, a Brazilian tour with the Shenandoah University show choir, gigs in Manhattan, and now in Central Pennsylvania. She has played with local groups such as X Factor, M80's, The Andrew Bellanca Trio, and The Reese Project. Beth is VERY excited to start 2009 off as the newest member of Cruise Control!!!
